POLA CHEMICAL INDUSTRIES: A Variety of Educational Support from Elementary School to University Students

POLA CHEMICAL INDUSTRIES provides a variety of educational support activities.
Our Fukuroi Factory holds Environmental Kids Education activities every year. Yokohama R&D Center cooperates with careers lectures by dispatching researchers as one aspect of career education for junior high and high school students. Fukuroi Factory and Yokohama R&D Center both accept work experience visits by students from local junior high schools, enabling them to learn the fundamentals of cosmetics development and manufacturing. Although these activities were suspended in 2020 as a measure to prevent COVID-19 infections, we are observing the situation and considering holding them in 2021.

Jurlique Farm

Jurlique organizes tours to its farm in the Adelaide Hills to deepen people's understanding of the nature and science of Jurlique's skincare products. So far, over 6,500 people have learned about biodynamic farming at Jurlique farm.
In 2020 Jurlique farm held a Flower Pressing Workshop in which participants could pick and press its flowers, as one aspect of its efforts valuing the involvement of more people from the local community.

Office Buildings: Collaborating with the Local Community

The POLA ORBIS Group continues to conduct cleaning and environmental beautification activities in close cooperation with the local area. Every year, POLA CHEMICAL INDUSTRIES, POLA Distribution Centers, and P.O. TECHNO SERVICE continue to jointly conduct cleaning and environmental beautification activities in close cooperation with the local area. We also participated in the volunteer replanting of the Aino Memorial Road flowerbeds in June and November, working together with local residents to maintain the flowerbeds. Employees and their family members also participated in the "Clean Walk" to Mt. Hattasan in May. Although these activities were suspended in 2020 as a measure to prevent COVID-19 infections, we are observing the situation and considering holding them in 2021.
